It seems like music streaming services are hot commodities these days and Twitter one of the worlds biggest social media tools is still keen on acquiring a service to add to it's portfolio. With a dead deal for the streaming service SoundCloud reports are stating that Twitter is still in the hunt for a service and it could have Spotify or Pandora in mind.

Here's a quick update according to the Wall Street Journal the social media giant Twitter was interested in acquiring SoundCloud, but it seems like a few days has made Twitter change it's mind according to the news Twitter felt like the numbers didn't add app(price for SoundCloud) so they gracefully bowed out. 

Acquisitions, Acquisitions everywhere! 

The trend was started by Facebook a few years back by purchasing Instagram for 1B dollars, since then Facebook has bought SnapChat and Oculus Rift, Apple is making the biggest purchase in the companies history(beats audio), Google wants a piece of Twitch, Yahoo rolled the VIP carpet out for Tumblr, and now Twitter is flexing it's deep pockets and has it's eyes set on SoundCloud.

According to Re/Code Twitter is looking to find new ways to grow it's user base which right now stands at 250M and it feels that purchasing SoundCloud could bring in new users and also add some services to Twitter that it lacks. SoundCloud as it stands is valued at 700M so if the deal does go threw expect it to be close to 1B dollars when it's all said and down. Seems to me that more big purchases are on the horizon but I still wish Instagram was bought by Twitter it would have been a match made in heaven.......

Amazon is on a hot streak as of late and it seems like they don't plan on stopping. Just recently Amazon announced a partnership with social media giant Twitter, the partnership between the companies gives it's users a unique way to shop.

Let's say your cousin just tweeted they got a PS4 bundle with a game and control via amazon and you yourself wanted a playstation all you would have to do is respond to the tweet with #amazoncart and bam it's automatically added to your amazon cart. This allows you to instantly add things to your cart with out physically having to visit amazon. 

Now I'm sure you'll have to link your twitter account with your Amazon account of course. But there is something's to be worried about like what if your twitter account ever was to be compromised someone could definitly go on a twitter shopping spree literally. I think it's a cool and creative idea of course but let's hope the 2 companies have some sort of security in place to insure no one can make purchase under certain conditions

If you are a fan of using the social networking service Twitter Via your laptop or desktop web browser then I have some news for you.

 Today Twitter announced real time live notification for it's web browser versions of it's service. Now you can be more up to date with who mentions you or find out when u have a new follower with out having to check your mobile device.

Twitter announced a while ago updates to the web version of it's services and it's currently rolling the changes out as we speak. Not really a fan of the look as it looks some what similar to facebooks currently layout

But anyways above is a picture of the new design via Floyd Mayweathers twitter page(he gets access to it first) it looks cool I guess. Let's just hope twitter stops wasting time on the web version and focus on the mobile app which is awful and where most of it's traffic comes from.
