AT&T x Time Warner

And here all this time i thought the evil empire aka skynet was going to be Google but it was AT&T the whole time *weebay gif*
News broke earlier this week that the US's second biggest carrier ( Verizon being the first ) has stricken a magnitudinal ( hey look i just made up a word ) deal to cop Time Warner and some intellectual properties. According to the Wall Street Journal the deal is a whopping 80 billion dollars ( half in cash and half in stock ) that would create one of the biggest telecomdigitalcable infrastructures that would even make Disney jealous.
Along with acquiring TW in the deal they also get some first round picks ( 2020, 2024 ) ( this is a joke by the way ) HBO, CNN, DC Comics, and Warner Bros Film/TV Studios, which are all under the Time Warner umbrella. Lettuce not forget that ATT also owns DirecTV the satellite based cable company, so what I'm thinking is Time Warner gets scrapped and all its existing tech is pushed to DirecTV to boast its service, giving it the ability to now offer cable and internet bundles ( similar to what TW had and what Verizon/Comcast currently offers )
So basically ladies and gentlemen this is the tech version of Durant going to the warriors, expect a whole lot of alley oops, more three pointers, and 50 point blowouts cause AT&T is ready to come for everyone and dey mama
So with that being said leave a comment below with your thoughts and if you are an existing Time Warner/AT&T/DirecTV customer what are your thoughts on this major acquisition...
