iMessage Head Calls It Quits
5/08/2014 03:58:00 PMIf you have a iPhone then you should be familiar with iMessage and if course FaceTime and push notifications as well. What am I saying this for well let's see the man behind these specific apps took to his own blog to announce that he will no longer be working at Apple.
What is his name you ask? Andrew Vyrros and his tenure is coming to an end and he will be going a start up chat company by the name of Layer. Mr Vyrros said on his blog that creating/making iMessage, FaceTime, and Push Notifications was hard seeing as though they were built from the ground up.
A lot of top execs are leaving their comfy jobs at Fortune 500 companies what gets me wondering... Either they are either sick of the job, lost passion, or need a fresh start. We all know working in the same field and job for so many some odd years can be stale so let's hope it wasn't anything major.
My main question/worry is what does this mean for iOS and iMessage? Will Apple maybe unify iMessage/FaceTime and will we see more cool things done with notifications. Remember Scott Forstall left a while back so maybe Apple is trying to clean house of anyone who was apart of the Jobs era and allow new CEO Cook full reign of the company. What ever happens let just hope iMessage gets better and not progressively worse........
