A lil tid bit was caught by the website geek.com it was for a listing by Google for a job in the NYC area. The listing posted was a Google Fiber Regional Sales Manager for New York. 

Now why is this important you ask well this could be a clue that sometime real soon Google could be bringing it's Fiber services to the east coast via NYC then eventually branch out to other cities like Philly, Boston, Atlanta, etc.

So this is somewhat exciting news cause from what I've seen posted on the internet speed wise Google Fiber ain't no joke.....
