Amazon is On Fire

As if we didn't need another useless slab of black hardware sitting near our tvs the king of shopping Amazon announced Fire tv.
A 2GB of RAM, dedicated GPU and a quad-core processing beast that allows amazon prime instant video, apps, gaming, and sharing those god awful pictures your mother supposedly deleted when family comes over.
Amazon is trying to bring some diversity to a already crowded area but with it's pricing, Eco system, and muscle I'm sure they can carve out a niche and take away some of those customers from apple and others.
So how do you guys feel? Another object not needed to sit next to others you've acquired threw compulsive purchases? Or something that will actually make life easier and enjoyable while being a couch potato
